İngilizce ''Other'' ve ''Another'' Kullanımları..

Other kavramı İngilizce'de hem Sıfat (adjective) hemde Zamir (pronoun) şeklinde karşımıza çıkmaktadır.Tekil (Singular) Çoğul (plural) formuda mevcuttur ve diğer/diğerleri anlamına sahiptir.


Another ise sadece tekil (singular) forma sahiptir ve başka bir, ikinci bir gibi anlamlara gelir.


➮Sıfat durumunda Other;

- I'm from Turkey, Other students are from France.
> Çoğul formuyla kullanım ve nitelediği isim -s takısı alır.

I got two presents. This one was from my sister, the other present was from my brother.
> Tekil formuyla kullanım..


➮Zamir durumunda Other;

- This is my wife, the other is my daughter.
> Zamir formuyla kullanım..



- They have three children. One studies at college, The others are at high school.
> Zamir formuyla çoğul kullanım..


➮Sıfat olarak Another zaman, para, mesafe kavramlarıyla beraber kullanılır ve her daim tekil şeklinde kullanıma sahiptir -s takısı alamaz.

- I have another five euros.
- I will be there for another two years.
- I drove another fourty kilometers.
