''Take over'' Açıklama ve Örnek Cümleler

Be on the verge of: Bir hadisenin veya durumun olmak üzere olduğunu, gerçekleşmeye az kaldığını, eli kulağında olduğunu ifade etmeye yarayan bir edattır. Sözlüklerde ise: -üzere, -nın eşiğinde, -üzerinde olmak gibi yaptığımız açıklamanın benzeri niteliğinde sonuçlar çıkmaktadır. Am/is/are ile kullanımında anlamsal olarak daha çok gelecek zamana atıfta bulunulmuş olur.
